Good morning world. Welcome Spring! This has been a rough winter indeed. Why do I continue to punish myself by living so far up North? Simple answer. Because I've done it all my life with the exception of my 15 months in Hawaii. I also lived in Japan but that too was on the same latitude as Montana. Yes, a glutten for punishment but Spring makes my heart a flutter with the wonders of renewed life. It snowed today. The moisture is good I guess. Yes, the glass is half full today and I am high on life. I charted for the first time...ever!
My album Rock and Roll Love Child is #11 this week on the Roots Rock charts for internet radio airplay. I'm super stoked for two reasons. One, because my name is sandwiched between David Byrne and Edwin McCain :) and Two because it has been difficult to classify, identify, and label my music. This is bad for one reason only. How can I, or an agent, publicist, record label etc, market my music if they can't identify it? WELL NOW I CAN. (insert big smiley face). I landed on the Roots Rock charts. So there ya go folks. It's not rocket science. I play Roots Rock. What is that? Hell if I know. Well, yeah I do. It's Americana, Alt-Country. I already identified with those but they were lacking the gritty blues rock I so love to throw down. I like it so I'm sticking with it.
